Gold Cup slide stuck back ? Empty Gold Cup slide stuck back ?

Post by rebs 4/18/2016, 10:01 am

I went to the shooting range this morning and fired one shot from my series 70 gold cup. The slide came back, the case was ejected and now the slide will not move. I cannot get it to move other than a very slight movement.
Anyone have an idea what happened or how to fix it ?

Sounds like an issue with either the ejector or extractor?

If you drop the mag is it still stuck?

Broken collet bushing or link. Will slide stop move up and down (obviously very little movement, but is it free)? Does frame to slide have any perceptible movement? Looking to see if galled stuck. Is disconnector visible through ejection port? Does it move up and down?

The problem ended up being a bulge in the barrel. one round must have been a squib and the following shot bulged the barrel.
Does anyone have a barrel for sale or know where I can get one ?

You should get a Kart NM barrel fit into the pistol. You won't regret it Smile

Kart has no website. Brownells carries them. They have to be fit, not a drop in.

JIm,  This barrel fits better than my old one. It shoots better as well. Off the sand bags I am shooting 2 inch groups at 25 yds. I cannot thank you enough for the barrel.
