I've heard a few older shooters rave about the 160 gr for the short line. Any suggestions on where to start with a load using WST? I have Bullseye as well. I was going to try some of Dardas 150 gr too, again any suggestions on loads? Thanks

I use 4.0-4.1 of bullseye with my 162gr SWC.  I have a frame mount and am using a 14#spring.  Very nice short line load.  WST should be very similar maybe a tenth or 2 more.

Something around 4.5 of BE will work for a slide mounted dot

4.5 bullseye has tested most accurate w/ 160 if you want to shoot them at 50 yards weigh them to about the same and go 5 gr of bullseye

Greetings,

I tried WST with the S242 long ago. The bullet seems too light for the powder burn speed.

Over the chronograph, I was getting Velocity Spreads over 100FPS.

4.4 grains of Bullseye seems to work very well. It is what Darius "Doc" Young used. Stout enough to function his Long Heavy Slide.

Cheers,

Dave
