Pardini GT 45, 6 inch
I am seriously considering purchasing a Pardini GT 45 with a 6 inch barrel. Any comments to help my decision will be appreciated. I will be using this tool for Bullseye shooting.

Great gun, I believe it is a double stack magazine so the grip is wider than a 1911, something to keep in mind.
Personally I'd stick with the 1911, more people to work on it and parts are available "down the street", etc...

Thanks Dave, much appreciated. For that amount of money, I dont want to make a mistake and have buyers remorse.dronning wrote:Great gun, I believe it is a double stack magazine so the grip is wider than a 1911, something to keep in mind.

I have one. The trigger is great, very adjustable. No accuracy work needed.

I used my GT45 5" to win a Regional last weekend. Best targets were a 96-4 at 50 and a 100-9 at 25.

You have to try one. It is a fine pistol. I have two Pardinis that I shoot for .22 and .32. They are great. However my hands are not that big so the double stack GT45 would not fit my hand, even without wood grips using grip tape. If you have large hands it is a great pistol, but not at all like the SP.

I'm also considering a gt. Are there any master or high master class shooters using one?

Zurek had shot one for a very short while. He did break 2650 with it shooting both cf and 45 aggs. He went back to the 1911 because he shoots it better.

The Pardini is a popular gun. It's a quality gun. You rarely lose much money buying quality equipment.

Not that I know of John Zurik has one but not sure he shoots it at the nationals maybe this year he will. they are good guns but they have quirks, many never like shooting lead and they are thick, double stack mags. IMO if your goal is to excel in bullseye your better off with a quality built target grade 1911.ASchlem wrote:I'm also considering a gt. Are there any master or high master class shooters using one?

Don't bother thinking of purchasing a Pardini 9mm - impossible to get it to shoot well. czman
