Trigger pull
The video of Adam Sokolowski discussing left handed shooting piqued my interest about how long it takes to execute the trigger pull once it is started.
I think we should break the shot within 1 second after starting the trigger action. I never hear this discussed. This idea agrees with Brian Zins' admonition to keep the trigger moving. If I don't get it off in 1 second, it's because I stopped the trigger pull, and I need to put the gun down and start my shot process over (in slow fire). In rapid fire, a 1 second trigger execution allows a full second for recoil recovery- this is plenty of time. I then have another second to "dress the shot" while the trigger pull is progressing.
