Hamden 107 Military Supermatic Trophy
I just found this at a local store. Rifling looks good. Seems in decent shape. No box, 1 magazine. I was thinking it would make a nice EIC pistol. The trigger is a bit under 2 lbs, I was thinking hopefully a new hammer spring brings it back up. Are these difficult to work on? I've only shot 1 High Standard and owned none. Anybody have an extra magazine they might want to sell....

I may be wrong, but do not think porting/compensated barrel is allowed for .22 EIC pistol.

It's not ported. Those indentations are for accessory compensator. This is a GREAT gun. Wish I still had mine!

Trophy trigger weight adjustment
Trophy's have a screw in the back of the frame to adjust the trigger weight. HS work great with tuned original factory mags.
Good for EIC with 1 mag.

The sear spring on some may have been trimmed by removing one side of the spring, to make the pull weight lighter. I did a few that way years ago. spring link

Re: Hamden 107 Military Supermatic Trophy
The spring pictured is for the non-adjustable High Standard models. The adjustable springs have a pair of 90 degree bends in the long legs to then sit more rearward into the adjuster notch. All these springs can be flexed more open or closed to adjust the force they give. On the adjustable models, the range of change is rather small. Minimum is where the spring legs are one screw click off the frame inside. You have to look inside under the slide to see this. Also look inside to make sure both long legs sit in the adjuster notch.

Re: Hamden 107 Military Supermatic Trophy
I took the 107 to the range yesterday and after sighting it in was able to shoot one hole groups at 50 ft off a sandbag. So I'm very pleased with the pistol. HOWEVER I had a few rounds get stuck at the top of the chamber. The round was at about 45*and the force of the slide actually unseated one bullet leaving it very crooked in the case. CCI SV. I think I read about this problem somewhere.....any thoughts?

Hope your magazine is a Connecticut original. Does it have round count numbers 5 & 10 on the side?
Clean your magazine. The magazine spring needs to be free enough and strong enough to prevent the rim from rotating down. Squeeze the front mag lips inward to slightly press the rounds sides. Smoothe the underside of the rear lips where the rim rides. The release point of the rear lips should be near .8" from the chamber.

Jack, it appears to be a "good" magazine. I took a pic of what a loaded round looks like in the magazine. I truly appreciate any direction you can give. I'm looking for one more mag...[/url[url=https://servimg.com/view/19079183/50]

magazine adjustment is critical in these guns..
the old Mags are the best, but the High standard branded Mags from Brownells are pretty good..

Great info JGlenn21, thanks. I gave the mag a good cleaning. The follower was quite gummed up. Also cleaned the chamber and barrel. Very dirty. I'm looking forward to detail stripping it. It certainly hasn't been done in this century.....

Re: Hamden 107 Military Supermatic Trophy
I only use 2 mags for each gun at matches so I'll just find an old one:)

Re: Hamden 107 Military Supermatic Trophy
There are 4 good choices on E-bay right now for a magazine. Lots of bad choices. Look for the 5 and 10 like Jack mentioned. Don't rule out any HD mags either (with 5 & 10) it only takes about 5 minutes work to make them fit. Like this one.

All you have to do is shorten the bottom of the mag. I also add length to install easier because I use extended grips.

After cleaning the mag and squeezing the rear lips together the least perceptible(to me) amount possible per the link provided by jglenn21 I think this mag is now good. Zero malfunctions today. Thanks everyone.

I've found it better to get the angle shown in those instructions than the exact measurements.. they are only a starting point

Re: Hamden 107 Military Supermatic Trophy
I cannot reliably feed CCI SV through my Supermatic Citation (which happens to look exactly like the one listed above except my trigger and mag release are silver).
It does shoot Armscor, SK, Norma Match and Federal 711B with no hiccups whatsoever.
Years ago I also ran Winchester T-22 and Hanson.
I had great luck buying magazines from http://www.gunclips.net/

Re: Hamden 107 Military Supermatic Trophy
Update: I bought a spring kit from Wolff and replaced everything in the gun except the sear spring(the one in the kit was not for the adjustable sear). Got another magazine from a forum member and replaced the springs in both mags after a thorough cleaning. Bent the rear lips in just a bit so that the bullet lines up with the chamber. The pistol is running great now! So well that I sent my 41 to KC for a much needed trigger job. The trigger on this High Standard is amazing! Thanks everyone.
