I would like to thank my teammates, Brian, our captain and proprietor of bullseyegear.com and a great 1911 and Smith & Wesson armorer, Paul, a state, regional and national champion and national record holder, and Chris, a relatively new shooter who is on his way to good things.  I was fortunate to be a part of this team since I was kind of a last minute stand-in for another one of our past state champions who wasn't going to be able to be there.

Congratulations BullseyeGear on your indoor team win, great shooting, and congrats for Iowa Gold at Perry this year. That is a wonderful achievement for some of your members. congrats!!  can anyone explain to me how sectionals work?

Sectionals are the indoor nationals shot over a period of 2 months around the nation. The NRA takes the scores and  compiles them to create the results. 

It is a .22 900 shot at 50'. And its alot of fun. 

You are limited to one sectional per type, per year. So one could shoot I Bullseye Sectional, one International Sectional, one small bore sectional etc. 

There are also collegiate sectionals.

Are they held in specific locations or is it something the match director mails in? Gotta find me one

They are held in multiple locations around the country. I shot in Norfolk VA. It was the closest. Come up to Norfolk County Rifle Range when it is held at the end of Feb. in VA. Some of the NC guys are talking about shooting it next year. The Flemings will be there, so there will be some definite competition.

Chris, keep an eye on Shooting Sports USA after the first of the year. You should be able to find an open sectional in your area
