Thought I'd share a Ransom group from 50 yds. Pistol is a rebuilt 5" Clark .45 with frame mount. Mixed brass and 200 gr lswc.
Respectable group. Wanted to show that you didn't have to have perfect frame to slide fit and still get good shooting pistol. The gunsmith can compensate for looseness when fitting bottom lugs. If it was slide mounted scope it would shoot better from hand because sighting from slide instead of frame.

I measure that as a 2 3/4" group, center-to-center. Is that about right?

Yeah those 3 flyers opened it to about 2-3/4". He's going to re-test with better brass now.

That's a longslide Marvel with barrel cut flush to slide. My personal best slowfire of 100-8x at 50 yds was shot with that pistol. Its likes just about all SV ammo. Ransomed 4 different brands at .625" extreme spread. Dummy me almost sold it once......yikes!
