38 Special and 105gn SWC, yes 105gn
I found these 105's swc's cheap for my 38 special, I think he charged me $19 for 650 rounds.
I like the idea of a super light bullet as I have a shoulder injury an I love my revolver so what the heck.....
Does anyone have WST, VV310, or BE loads for them, i am thinking 3.0 to 3.5 BE or VV310 will work for plinking , I am not expecting 50 yard x ring Accuracy?

My old Lyman book has the following loads for a 112 grain cast bullet:
Bullseye 2.0 to 3.8 grains, fps 572-954
Unique 3.5 to 6.9 grains, fps 682-1252
Those other powders did not exist when this book was published.

Lee makes a mold that you're describing.
I've been using it to make a lot of noise in my 357SIG in combat matches.
I think that there are recommended charges with my 9MM die set from Lee.

That should be a real pleasant load.

I was trying to remember. I won some 100 grain or so HBWC's at a match at OKC a few years ago.
I loaded them with 2.7 grains of Bullseye. They shot great out of my S&W Model 14, but no way would they cycle in my Clark Heavy Slide.

I have shot the Lee 105 grain SWC with 2.0 of BE in my M-14 38 Special. Seated and crimped over the front driving band these things sound like a S&W 32 Long going off and have hardly any recoil. Accuracy was OK but nothing to write about. Stepping up the powder charge seemed to make for better accuracy with the 105 SWC but it was never as good as a 148 grain WC. Cast with range scrap, sized to .358 and lubed with White Label 50/50. It was a fun experiment but the only thing accomplished was finding out that these short bullets need some velocity to make them work. YMMV
