Local Gun Store is quitting business and having a blowout to the walls sale. 

I found the subject mag.  It is the real thing kind magazine with alloy follower and alloy pinned base.  Great shape except for oxidation on the alloy. 

The mag is heavier than the Metalform type mags.  Google found pictures show it to be legit with alloy follower and base, and bullseye button

Looks like I want to shoot it. 

Is it advisable to unpin the base for dismantling and cleaning the oxidation?

It's like the bottom mag in each pix ripped from google.  Upper mags are newer Colts.

I spoke too soon. I've never taken base like that off before. I'd personally try it though.

Took the pins out easily.  Wow!  They don't make them like this anymore.  It's built like a tank. Those cross pins are even held with a little spring wire.  I can not imagine the cost to build this way today.  Wow.  I hope it works good.
