I'm asking for load advice using Sierra 230gn FMJ in SA 1911,Bar-Sto bbl. I have BE,W231,Titegroup,and Unique.      Thanks to all who answer.        Dan

When I legged out, it was using that bullet and 4.5 grains of Bullseye.

Historically 5 grains Bullseye has been THE hardball load. 

4.7 gr TG works very well, 4.2 gr for an easy short line load. I quit shooting 4.7gr several years ago and only shoot 4.2 which is almost as good and has gotten me a couple more Pres 100's.

I use 3.8 gr BE with my left over 230 jhp. They'll hold 10 ring at 50!

The Barsto barrel in my ball gun likes 5 gr of Titegroup. It's snappy for sure but shoots the best groups.
