It's raining and we don't talk politics. Got any new guns to show off?

After having Kc do his aimpoint cut after Jon Eulette cut weight off the slide.
My slide with kodiak mount, kodiak sun shades, aimpoint h-1 weights in at 16.61oz. It's a monolithic slide. No barrel or bushing or recoil spring cap installed

We all realized our guns and ammo are just fine the way they are. We now spend our time dryfiring; and we haven't yet figured out what to discuss about that. :-)

Preparing for deer camp. Opening day (rifle) is Saturday and I've got to get my home chores cleared up so I can spend time in the woods not thinking of jobs left undone, lol.

I am busy returning all the reloading supplies that I was stock piling because of the results of the thing we don't talk about.

I got a big buck early in the morning of the first day of deer camp. Didn't damage the front of my truck very much.

seasons over for most, many use this time for hunting or just relaxing and anticipating turkey day and Christmas then back to prepare for next season.

It's brass tumbling and reloading season, although we did just have an outdoor 1800 and two EIC matches in Sacramento.

Well I sold my old Range Officer to a new shooter then bought another one. Plus if been deer hunting like some and cleaning brass and getting some dry firing done, reloading plus getting ready for winter like getting all my firewood moved so I can get at it when the the snow gets deep, you know. Re: This place has been quiet of late.
I drove 200 miles to deer hunt. Stayed there a week with my son. Never saw a buck. I gave my neighbor permission to "poke" the deer that has been rubbing on my fruit trees. If it wasn't for the chance to do a little bonding I should have stayed home.

I am signed up for a Bob Marvel 1911 building class for next year.
I seem to developing an inverse relationship in the quality of my Range Officer and my scores. Lately, I've been more interested in working on my gun than dry firing it.
If this keeps up, by the end of the 1911 class, I'll have a Bullseye .45 and be shooting rounds in the low teens.

Re: This place has been quiet of late.
Im a little bummed... This summer has been so crazy for me, I haven't even so much as looked at my guns. I was hoping to get to a few matches this year, and finally get my classification, but I was either working, or away for the few local matches near me.. So im pretty bummed.. Winters coming, and time to get loading, and start dry firing, and dust the cob webs off... No winter matches that I know of, but at least a pistol league coming up..
