1.5 diopter single lens
Ok I'm probably spittin into the wind now but, I sure would like to find one of those old " Clearsight" single lens 1.5 diopters that used to clip to your glasses and swing down. Man I loved it back when i was shooting with the Sheriffs team, but now at 65 I REALLY need one. Anyone have any ideas????

Well that's like the one I used to have, but with only one lens. Don't know what it would cost to get a 1.5x diopter ground for it but I guess I could find out. Thanks for the info..

This works for me: Go to the Dollar Store. Buy 2 pairs of identical glasses, one with reading Rx for scoring and one that will allow you to focus on the front sight. These should be wire frame for easy dis-assembly. Presuming you're right-eye dominant, remove the left lens from the "reading Rx" pair and install it in the left side of the "shooting Rx" pair. Use your occluder to cover the reading side when shooting and shooting side when scoring. Use your prescription glasses when driving.

Re: 1.5 diopter single lens
I guess maybe I'm lucky.....as i dont really have much of a issue with vison.....I'm 46 and althought I wear glass's and bifocal's I see better than 20/20 with correction......my main issue is astigmatism.....I shoot with my distance lens and wear a merit just to inhance my focal range ....when I shot irons the merit was my only option..but now all 3 of my target guns have dots.....so I find I can take or leave the merit....I will use it for slow fire and flip it up for timed and rapid.....but as I get older I imagine the merit will get more use.....I find open sights a struggle...I was fine with opens for slow fire but timed and rapid just screwed me up.....I find a dot just way more pleasant to work with.......
