Pistol Box for optic guns
What are the favorite pistol boxes for guns with optics?
Also, what are the best sources for them?
Thanks to everyone in advance!

TNB Strong Case or Precision Pistol Box.
TNB is sold by http://www.bullseyegear.com or http://www.champchoice.com
Precision Pistol Box is sold directly from the manufacturer: http://www.precisionpistolbox.com/
Both brands have excellent reputations and both sources for the TNB as well. I personally have a TNB and I'm very happy with it.
The alternative is to keep an eye on eBay and this forum for people selling.

any pistol box will work, on the older ones you just relocate the drawer a little lower to clear scopes or dots.

David,
Thanks, I thought about lowering the shelf but then the scope would not when the door closes.
Thanks,
Mark

I now use a strong box and love it, but try to find one. I know of a few shooters using the Precision boxes and they are nice. I used to use a Pachmyr box that I lowered the tray. The scope did fit underneath it and I could have had the tray just a tad higher so it can be done.

Re: Pistol Box for optic guns
Just got a Strongbox to replace my homemade shooting box, Seems really nice and I like the way the scope mount works. I might take the gun clamps out and store the pistols in rugs in the box as that is how my old box worked. I got the Strongbox on ebay and saved quite a bit of money.

Troystaten,
Like your idea of removing the pistol clamps and just using gun rugs. Problem with that is, I cannot find one large enough to take my Pardini .22 lr with red dot sight on it. Where did you find something like that? -- Joe --

Just bought one of these for my XVR. They make smaller ones also.

Re: Pistol Box for optic guns
Novak if you mean a large enough gun rug I think one that would fit one of the larger S&W revolvers with a scope would work, I have one that fits my model 41 with a 7 inch barrel that I got at Cabela's I would think that they should have something that would fit. If you mean the box, the Strong box I have is very long so I am sure it would fit a Pardini.

Troystaten,
Yes, I was referring to a gun rug. I may need several as most of my Bullseye competition pistols have a red dot mounted. Especially my Walther GSP. I will take your suggestion and contact Cabela's. Thanks! -- Joe --

These hold a typical bullseye pistol with large groups and optics.
