how mant gr of wst or be
With a 158 gr lswc bullet, how many grains of wst or bullseye would you guys recommend ? Right now I have loaded 3.0 of both, not sure if less powder would be safe.

My old Lyman Manual (45th edition) shows anywhere from 2.0 to 3.5 grains of Bullseye with that bullet. The lightest I've ever loaded was 2.7 grains of BE for use on the short line. I've also loaded 2.5 grains of WST with that bullet.
The 47th Edition shows 2.8 to 4.2 grains of BE with the 158 grain LSWC bullet.

I load 2.7 Gr BE for both 158 Gr SWC and 148 Gr HBWC. This was mostly because my original press used bushings and 2.7 was all I had around that weight. I've since carried it over to the Dillon press so I don't change the powder measure. I'm not sure how accurate the 158 Gr is with a light load like that but it's been safe for me.

I like 3.0 WST for the short line and 3.3 WST for the long line.

158gr LRN with 3.5gr WST shot really well through my Colt.
158gr LRN with 4gr Unique was more consistent, that's what I legged out with.
