45 wadcutter load
I want to find a load for my les baer wadcutter with the frame mounted scope. I know nosler and zero 185gr jhp are superb, but I was curious if anyone has a lead bullet load that had very similar accuracy? Main concern right now is find the most accurate load for a decent price as I am currently in college and don't have a ton of income

Go with a lead SWC or hollow point in 185 gr. Zero Bullets has both. I'm expecting 1000 of the latter tomorrow per a recommendation from one of the top shooters in my club.

Are lead swc bullets as consistent as a jhp bullet? What is best for the long line?

Re: 45 wadcutter load
I use 3.7-3.8 BE with 200 lswc for all the pistols I shoot: lots :l)
This weekend I shot a 97-4x that if I moved 4 clicks right would've been clean target. No since killing yourself with hotter loads. I use 3.4 BE for shortline. When going light use 200 gr bullets because they seat deeper and have more pressure.

The zero swaged 200gr SWC shoot good at 50yds. Look at Powder Valley Inc. for the bullets. They are cheaper there with shipping than from Roze Dist.
Also if you want a softer load go with Ramshot competition. I just switched and am not looking back. 3.3grs with the 200gr in a 6" slided mount for 25yds.

Magnus 200gr swaged SWC. Terry is a forum supporter and gives a discount to forum members. I won the Florida Sunshine State Games a few years back with that bullet.

I just got some HBWC from him for the 38 and they look great. I forgot to say I was a member here though... No biggy, still a great price, and nice bullets.
