45 ACP with Hodgdon Titegroup or..... How Low Can I Go?????
Okay for you guys using Hodgdon Titegroup how low have you gone in your powder charge and still had good accuracy? I am running 4.3 grains under 185 grain cast bullets with good results in both my wad gun and ball gun. This load is 0.7 grains below Hodgdon's listed starting charge.

I use 4.1 gr of Titegroup with 185 bullets, and 3.9 gr with 200 bullets.

I've used 4.0grs with a cast 185gr. LSWC with iron sights not a slide mounted dot.

Thanks for the reply guys. I am trying to reduce recoil as much as possible to help out my wrist that I broke last October. Doc told me 6-12 months to fully heal. It has been 7 months since breaking it. I am working with about half the grip strength compared to my left hand and about 80% range of motion.

We have tried 3.8gr under 200gr LSWC. Works well. A little temperature sensitive in Wisconsin.
