Fun day at the indoor range.
Today I left the BE pistols and the BE gun box and all that stuff at home and just took my SA RO 9mm with Vortex Vemon and my S&W M&P 40 CORE with a Deltapoint on it. Like I said I left everything BE at home along with my shot plan and I shot two handed. This BE shooting has really helped my defensive shooting. I wish I could shoot that good one handed. Fun morning being able to just relax and shoot. Only thing that went wrong was this was the RO's second trip to the range with a dead battery. I have a bunch of 2032s but it takes a 1632 so I didn't get to shoot it and it is my best shooting gun. Don

BTW, are there any Precision events or matches at indoor ranges in Florida?

Wesley I shoot indoors at Basics Range and Gun in Orange Park, Fl. OP is just on the South edge of Jacksonville on the West side of the river. There is a nice indoor range on well's Road that has programmable targets with a controller at every lane and 25yds. Basic only has 20yds but the people that run it are the best. No indoor BE matches up this way in fact I was told I was the only one that shoots one handed. We have a awesome outdoor BE range it is the one Tedcarter and Suzcarter run the matches. Last year the State shoot was here. Donwesleytilson@gmail.com wrote:Where is your indoor range? Back in the 80's, I was a member of the Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club. We had quite a few bullseye pistol matches, including club matches (25 yds. and 15 yds.). We had a good group of bullseye pistol shooters back then, too. I returned to shoot the Dixie Matches in the early 2000's.

Hi Mike! Gateway still holds the club fun match every month, the first Sunday. And we still run the Dixies too! Would love to see you come one out again :-)
Thanks for the plug Don!

They still hold the Club Match the first Sunday of each month @ 25 and 15 yards starting at 0900. I have shot it twice but have missed it this month and going to miss it in July also because of health. I am a member at Gateway but don't shoot there a lot in this hot weather. I like that AC at the indoor range. Getting soft in my old age. They just had the Dixie and not sure about the State Championship this year. Ted could tell us if they are. Not being classified I won't be shooting it. They also hold a 1800 the third Sunday of the month. They still are a good group of shooters. Don

No problem I try to plug the local club all I can you all have really helped me my first two matches. Lord knows I need a lot of help with my shooting I am glad BE shooters are a understanding bunch. I expect most of you had to go through the same thing. BTW after watching you shoot that 52-2 I went a bought one. Now if I could only shoot it like you shoot yours. Donsuzcarter wrote:Hi Mike!
