Ball gun ? Empty Ball gun ?

I saw a Springfield RO with a long target barrel and adjustable Bomar style sights chambered in 9 mm. I wonder if this may be a good platform for a ball gun?

No. The CMP has rules against Bomar sights and longer barrels. Might make a nice CF pistol.

A Bomar sight is legal. A Bomar rib is not.

+1 Bomar sight.  It's the full length rib that isn't legal.  Just how long is the barrel?  If it's longer than 5.1", then it's not a legal service pistol for CMP.
