epoxy bed 22 upper?
My advantage arms target upper will shoot itself loose despite my attention, judicious torque and blue locktite.
Am I off my rocker to think about putting some acraglass jel in behind the slide stop and in front of the feed ramp?
In theory this would eat some of the forces that usually ride on the take-down/guide-rod screw and eventually shake things loose. I'll have to look and see if this would make a mechanical lock. Has anyone else done this?

When a bolt gets over tightened the threads are deformed ever so slightly and it looses it ability to hold tight. Try a new guide rod, hopefully the internal threads aren't damaged on link area of the barrel.

Breaker bar has to be the long end or else there isn't room for the cheater bar.

I have had no problems when I shape the rod end slightly and evenly convex, and taper the threads away from any mushing.

It came with a new slide stop pin and guide rod, Im not buying replacements every 1000 rounds.Chris Miceli wrote:new slide stop pin and guide rod ?
I think the stop pin is hardened, anyhow there isn't a mark on it, and a new one isn't going to fit any different.

you are doing something wrong or your stuff is jacked. i would start with a new guide rod if you got no marks on your slidestop pin. worst case that barrel block is toast.
