Browning Buckmark top-strap
I have a Browning Buckmark .22 that has a problem. Every so often, the front allen screw that holds the "top-strap" on loosens. This piece holds the top of the barrel, keeping it aligned to the bolt face. When the screw loosens, I get failure to feeds. So I get out the allen wrench and tighten it up.
I'd like to fix this once and for all. But I'm pretty sure that at some point I will need to dis-assemble the pistol. I have some blue lock-tite. Would that be correct to use? I have used nail polish as locking agent on pieces that don't need to hold really tight, and not in harsh environments (like eyeglass screws). I'm thinking I only need something to stop vibrations.

Re: Browning Buckmark top-strap
I used the nail polish trick on my Buckmark (tac sol barrel). It held well all season in two leagues worth of shooting. I don't put anything on the rear screw...I just make sure to periodically check it. It rarely needs tightening.
