Re: Sectional results...
Rule 19.6 in the International Rulebook covered you:john bickar wrote:...
Edit: Also, I apparently hold a classification in NRA Standard Pistol that does not exist. That made it easy to take first in my class.
Congratulations!
19.6 Assigned Classification - A competitor who has an earned classification (a classification obtained through the Score Record Book or an Official NRA Classification Card) for one type of competition in the grouping listed below will be assigned this same classification in any other type in which the competitor is not classified in the same group.
(a) International Pistol (Free, Air, Center, Rapid Fire or Standard).
(b) Outdoor Pistol
(c) Indoor Pistol
(d) Police Combat
If the competitor has a classification in more than one type in the list, the higher classification shall be used. In the second tournament in the new type, the competitor will use the score record book rather than assigned classification.
Re: Sectional results...
Ed,
19.6 doesn't apply if you have an official classification (which I do), nor do I think it can be used to assign a classification that does not exist in the event (which HM does not in Standard Pistol).
It is a good rule to know - it helped some of my fellow competitors get out of the Master class and into classes where they were competing against their peers.

Re: Sectional results...
Hey John,
I misread your post as that you didn't currently hold any Standard Classification, possibly due to the three year longevity, rather than the fact that there is currently no HM class in Standard. I only looked at the beginning of the results, where they have the top standings only and never caught the "1 - Entries" on the right. So, IOW, you were actually in last place in your classification - First&Last - unique indeed!
Good Shooting, though!

If you ain't first, you're last.
Or both, in this case.

Re: Sectional results...
Results are certainly late this year.
I believe there's a protest underway for the bullseye (aka conventional aka precision) pistol match.
Still haven't seen anything for free, air, or standard pistol.

Can we still have Sectionals this year if last year's scores aren't out?

Re: Sectional results...
Absolutely! They still get to collect all the fees and Wayne gets his annual bonus! Why do results matter? Pretty evident they don't matter to the NRA....other than collecting the fee.valbern67 wrote:Can we still have Sectionals this year if last year's scores aren't out?
Try submitting the results one time without paying the fees....and see how long it takes them to notify you of your error.

I’m having issues getting the sectional results to open from nra. Previously I had no problems. Anyone else having issues?

No, I shot 2020. Before that, my last time was 1998 . Got a pin while I was there and a book in the mail with the results. This time, no pins and looking forward to results being posted.james r chapman wrote:Did you shoot 2019?JimTMich wrote:2019 results here
