Benelli MP90s Barrel Weights ?
I have two early Benelli MP90s's, .22 and .32. the barrel weight on the 32 has somehow gone AWOL. On Larry's web page they list moth a 35 and 40 G barrel wight. I also see this on their illustrated diagrams. However, the barrel with on my 22 is 65 grains. I never weighed them before, but I think the AWOL one on the 32 was the same as the one on the 22.
Does anyone have any ideas where I might find a 65 gr barrel weight? Or any history of what might have been offered?

You might check with these people:

I don't know much about it, but I found this page with Google...

Greg,
I have the ones that came with my 32. I've never used them. One weighs 361 grains and the other one is 374. I can't imagine one weighing only 65 grains.
You can have mine if thats what you're looking for. Otherwise just weigh out some lead shot to
put it in the trays.

WOW! That would be like 12-13 ounces? Am I doing this right, i.e. converting from Oz to grams? What is intriguing is that Larry's only lists the 25 and 40 G weights. That would get the gun to 50 oz total, might be too heavy for me, although would love to try one. Just sent you an email.
Thanks Jim.

7000 gr divide by 16 oz = 437.5 gr per oz

Here is where it can get confusing. 28.34 gr = 1 oz. gr standing for gram instead of grain.

I have always thought European gun weights were in grams, not grains? G is the proper abbreviation for grams, GR is for grains. Grains is used for gunpowder.

The ones I have would convert to 23.4 and 24.2 grams. If you read your original post, I believe you said grains.

Ah, you are correct, just love Siri when she corrects my typing. Yours appear nearly identical to the 25 gram ones offered by Larry's, and reflected on the detail diagram of the MP90s. Hmmm. The one on mine is 65 grams (approx 2.3 OZ.).JKR wrote:The ones I have would convert to 23.4 and 24.2 grams. If you read your original post, I believe you said grains.

Thanks for your reply Jim. I would be interested in trying one.

By now you would think I'd have your address squirreled away somewhere. Better shoot me an email with it so I don't have to dig.
