Sig P210 for EIC?
First topic message reminder :
So I bought one of these new American P210's and am curious what everyone thinks about using it for EIC. Are there any 210 knowledgable folks on the forum? Sig claims 3.5 lb trigger so I'll have to bring it up to 4. It seems from the pics I've seen that they are somewhat faithful to the design but I'll update when I receive the pistol next week.

...and if I could put a 25X scope on the pistol and sling up like I can with my match rifle, I'd be happy with the results. But for me it's a vision exercise at 50 yards with iron sights and my eyes, no matter how good the sandbags are.

The P210-A is on the CMP approved list, it comes from the factory with palm swell grips. I saw many on the line at Perry that passed inspection with those grips.

Tovaert, any luck with a good trigger spring? I emailed CMP and they verified the P210 is legal with the stock grips. Just need to bring that pull weight up.

Re: Sig P210 for EIC?
After all the hype about the NH P210 in this thread and in the Jan 2019 NRA review I went to my LGD and handled his display case 210. The gun is all the NRA review said it was, a great piece of work. 2 things stood out. The trigger has a very long take-up (or roll?) which I did not like. The other disadvantage I saw was the slide is not rail or reflex sight ready. Just my humble opinion. I was seriously considering selling my RO9 to get the 210 but all bets are off. I'd need some serious machining on the slide and trigger work which would balloon the $1499 display price. It would be better to send my RO out for a slide pin and barrel fitting.

I’m sure EGW would custom machine one of their reflex mounts to replace the factory rear sight.

Looks like the frame/dust cover is thick enough to do a frame mount.

Paul Fisher with FPK4Guns on Facebook has successfully increased the trigger weight to 4lbs.

Re: Sig P210 for EIC?
I tried the hammer spring method Fpk4guns shows with mine. However it seems mine came with the nut already turned a bit more than most. At 5 turns it still didn’t quite lift 4lbs and at 6 turns the slide stopped cycling because the nut would hit the grips when the hammer came back to the fully cocked position. Not sure if I just received a model with a weaker than normal hammer spring. Any suggestions?
