Need Manual for Spotter Scope

Hello I'm trying to find the manual for a Champion Choice CC542 Spotter Scope. My son is in JROTC in high school and on the rifle team. They shoot air rifles and have this spotter scope. He tells me that they are unable to really adjust the scope to zoom in. We suspect a disgruntled cadet did something to them. I have searched online and I am unable to find a manual for one of these. I'm hoping that some one here has one and can maybe scan it and email it to me. Thank you in advance.

According to the specs on the CC website, it needs to be set a 12x to focus at 10 meters.  Have they tried that?  You could always check with CC and see if it even came with some kind of manual.  They do not list it in the description.

the problem is they can't turn the knobs to even focus it or anything.
