Smith model 19
does anyone know the twist rate of this 4" barrel ? Is it the same as the model 14 ?

According to the Smith and Wesson forum, the twist rates are the same for the Model 14 and 19; 1 in 18 3/4 inches.

My memory is hazy but I believe they (Clark) said 1-14 twist.

They used Douglas barrels Which come in 10, 12, 14, and 16 twists. IIRC 12 and 14 were most common.
