That 90¢ puts it out of my budget.

I now have, what I consider, an excess of .22lr ammo with the recent price drop in CCI standard velocity. But, I'm OK with that - it's a good thing.

Thank you, I thought I missed all the low priced cci sv out there, got two cases and they still had 99 cases available
I'll make up the deficit John

I thought about loaning you the balance John, but instead, I'll forward it to Governor Moonbeam because the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia needs every penny it can get its fingers on; however, they may only accept Bitcoins?
(comment offered in the same humorous spirit as yours John)

Comment taken in the same spirit!
(I'll refrain from commenting on California politics and politicians. I've already sidetracked this thread enough. )
(I'll accept that 90¢ of Bitcoin, though )

C&R FFL 03 and COE, you're GTG. There's an upfront expense, but from what I hear, most online vendors are honoring the CRFFL+COE.
I have no idea if there's an active duty exemption for the ammo BS. Could be. Don't know if you're active duty, either.

Luckily this can be fixed in a few years when you can move back to a freedom zone.

I feel bad for Jayhawks. He was my mentor and got me into bullseye shooting. I am going to talk to my congressman about that exemption.

No worries. You should feel bad because you mentioned my name and mentor in the same post...lol.
I bought about 3 cases of CCI SV before the crunch. Where I'm getting cross threaded is high end 22 and 38 special.
I've shot my best slow fire scores ever with CCI SV out of a new conversion barrel (thanks Larry - Nelson Custom Guns!) after his son reamed a tighter chamber for Lapua at Perry. I have a couple of 50 rnd boxes of Lapua and one brick of TENEX. This thing is shocking - cleaned first 5 of 10 with CCI SV (iron sights) before scoping I'm hoping CCI will be pretty close to TENEX/Lapua, but if not, I'll get 2-3 bricks to an FFL of the preferred ammo once I test in a Ransom Rest thanks to the kindness of one very fine club member who makes some pretty nice gun boxes. Whatever 22 works best is going to get ordered (unless its CCI SV) and that will put me through the 4 years left in the wonderful state of CA. I'll probably use the CCI SV on the short line and premium (TENEX/Lapua) on the long line if the difference is significant.
I ordered 500 rounds of Federal and Remington 38 special prior to the law being passed, but couldn't test either to see what worked best since the Ransom Rest Inserts were out of stock at Brownells and my wheel gun was in with Alex Hamilton (Ten Ring Precision) for much needed work. I've got them both now, so once I figure out the best performer I'll order more and reload 38 for the short line to preserve my inventory of factory 38 for the long line. That will carry me well past the 4 year mark easily since the DR matches are rare and I'll practice with my hand loads.
