1911 Barrel Bushing Empty 1911 Barrel Bushing

Hello Members

I have a naive question. Is there any advantage of a SS barrel bushing vs. a carbon steel one?
In this case the frame is carbon steel but the barrel is SS. This is for a Springfield Range Officer in 9mm. 

 Pros and cons of each.                                                                          Thanks, Walt
