Wilson magazine question
So, my Son served several tours is Afghanistan with the Marine Corps MARSOC and when he returned home after getting out hands me a bag and says here Dad, enjoy. In the bag were a few DOZEN of Wilson stainless combat mag. They seem to be the 7 and 8 round variants with what seems like a domed type follower.
He told me he never had any failures with any of them and they served him well.
I’m curious in the bullseye game if these are something I could use. I will test for myself but like mentioned I’m curious. I have to say there is something appealing about using these real life combat proven mags. He mentioned with MARSOC they could use what they wanted as a side arm so he had a pretty tricked out 1911.
As a former Marine myself I find these being the ultimate catch of the day!

Glad your son made it back, I am sure the Wilson mags would work fine for bullseye shooting. Try them out in your pistol. Good luck.

I have swapped all my flat followers for Clark rounded followers and Wolff springs.

I’ll have to go look to see what those followers look like. I’d be curious on what these Wilson springs are

Why is a round follower better for Bullseye than a flat follower?AllAces wrote:I have swapped all my flat followers for Clark rounded followers and Wolff springs.

Re: Wilson magazine question
It presents a SWC bullet to the chamber at a better angle for feed and function. Flat seem to work best with RN bullets. It is all about the fifth bullet of course.

Thanks; one more thing to add to my list of "stuff I didn't know". We could create a list of these things, for others who don't. Maybe I'll do that later today.
