Dardas Bullet Company up for sale:
I don't know if you guys have heard it yet or seen threads on other forums on this but it is posted up on "The Firing Line" I believe. I will miss dealing with Matt for sure. Hopefully whoever buys it does not change anything, like getting of their cast H&G#130 "button bullet". Not a lot of companies making that bullet now.

I hope they don't change their quality. Excellent, accurate and at a reasonable price

Sad to hear. USPS continues to do Matt a disservice with delaying, misplacing, or just messing with his shipments that all have to go thru the Allen Park bottleneck.

I have had nothing but excellent service from Matt. He also gave me a lot of great advice and encouragement when I was a newbie

Hey I looked at the message tab on the top of my browser (not on the page) and it says "dardus cast bullets: Closed for Maintenance"
Sure hope they are still open

Magnus makes a pretty good H&G 130. Their product number is 801.Gary Wells wrote:... like getting of their cast H&G#130 "button bullet"...

That's a 185., Not the popular 160 that feeds so we'll.

I've used cases of the Magnus #801, as long as you pistol is throated properly I've never had feed issues.

True, but the 160 allows me no sight change with my 185 jhp LL load.
And, it's soft shooting, makes a nice scoreable hole.

Jim, where do you get your 160s? Same place as Chris?
p.s. Never shot 160s. Will have to try off season.

I checked Magnus and they make a 155 gr and a 170 gr but no 160. I guess something for everyone.

Chris I'm sure those "Bobs bullets" will be fine but I'm real interested what you find out once you get them and start using them please post your findings.

Are these as accurate and consistent as the Dardas 160’s?Chris Miceli wrote:https://www.bobsbullets.net/bullets/45-acp-160gn-swcjames r chapman wrote:True, but the 160 allows me no sight change with my 185 jhp LL load.

I have shot that H&G#130 185gr as far back as late '80's or so and have never had any type of problems with a multitude of 1911 platform guns. Many thanks for the 160gr info though.
joy2shoot:
I have read on here that the Magnus #801 is a very accurate bullet however I am pretty much "blind in 1 eye & can't shoot with the other" and even at 21 ft the standard H&G#130 configuration cuts a cleaner hole & even at a measlyl 21 ft I need to see a clean hole. Embarrassing to cop to, but yes, I am that blind. Many thanks for the info though.

Nothing wrong with the #801. Excellent bullet. Just like using the 160.
