Model 52 Metal Missing
I can't believe I'm just now discovering this... There is a chunk missing from the top side of the slide's recoil spring housing that appears to be more the result of a bad casting (which would really surprise me) than some kind of failure or trauma. The pistol cycles fine and I don't remember ever hearing, seeing, or feeling anything catastrophic enough that would cause this. The metal in that area is extremely thin, so I 'm wondering what may have caused it and if anyone has seen or experienced anything similar with their 52.

Hokey smokes, that's great to hear!
I am a bit surprised that these fine pistols left the barn like that, as I understand they were pretty much custom-made. On the other hand, if they were good enough for the maker to release, then I am okay with that.
