9mm 1-10 twist barrel jacketed load recommendations
Since my searching for weights and speeds for 9mm jacketed bullets for 1 - 10 twist barrels was not very productive I have decided to ask the group what they have found to work well. Weights, speeds, recipes? Any box ammo to try?

NO PROBLEM,
147GR XTP,4.2 GR VV330, OAL 1.142", FED PRIMER, NEW BRASS AT 50YDS.
THE XTP IN 147GR IS A BOAT TAIL BULLET.
SHORT LINE USE THE SAME LOAD WITH HORNADY 147GR FMJ AND ANY BRASS.
JP
P.S. 4.0GR WSF IS REALLY GOOD ALSO. EVERYTHING ELSE THE SAME.

Thanks JIMPGOV.
Running that through some reloading manuals comes out as about 900fps. Thanks for sharing some PPC knowledge and experience.

I built a 9mm 10-twist gun to use as a CF wadgun. I use the 147gr XTP with 2.4 gr Bullseye for a speed of about 730 fps. This is a softball load intended to duplicate the ballistics of the 38 Special 148 gr wadcutter load. In my gun it holds 2.25" at 50yds from the Ransom Rest.
My gun has a frame mounted dot. I doubt the above load would be reliable with a slide mounted dot.

115 HAP, 5.4-5.6 CFE or 4.2-4.4 Titegroup. 125 (.356 dia.) HAP, 4.9 CFE. Both work well for 25 and 50 yds. for me in my S&W 986. See my thread in this section, "Chrono Results for 9mm CFE, Titegroup and BE-86."
