Scope rings Empty Scope rings

Post by troystaten Fri Aug 10, 2018 5:33 pm

I have an ultradot 1" tube dot sight on my 45 1911 with a marvel rib and the one of the thread holes on the ring set (not the rib itself) has stripped.  I think the rings are the ones that came with the sight.  Does anybody have a favorite brand of rings that will work on a marvel rib?  I have a set of weaver steel rings but they would ad about an ounce of weight that I don't need.

thanks

I don’t do to many 1” tubed scopes, but have bought Weaver brand rings that are horizontally split so you can remove without losing zero. Got them at Walmart for $8.00
They look good and are light. They will lower scope on pistol as well.

A shooter at a match turned me on to these and I love em. Cheap, hold tight, light, hold dot low, and don’t harm the optic. I buy the medium height and matte black not gloss. They only have medium and high. Walmart has em for something like $8-$10. Totally worth it.
