Ammo for HS Supermatic Citation
I have a few boxes remaining of Olin "Caliber 22 Ball Long Rifle Standard Velocity" ammo from my competition days back in the '80s and '90s, which I've been recently using in my 1967 Supermatic Citation. It still performs quite well, but my supply is dwindling. Any suggestions on a good replacement for the Olin?

wait till everyone posts their favorite for the H-S then go and get all of them and test in your pistol.. pick the winner and enjoy.

CCI SV, My old High Standard hates all the "lubed" up stuff.

That's fantastic... thanks, jglenn21!
BTW, the team I was on many years ago did receive quite a few boxes of Eley lubed ammo. All I can recall is waiting to expend it all so I could go back to the Olin. However, Eley does make good ammo, from what I hear. Is Eley Club lubed?

I haven’t had mine long. I’ve only shot Aguila Super Extra Standard Velocity. It shoots good ... when the Ammo is consistent enough. SK Standard Plus is my next try.

CCI SV, Remington worked (target, standard velocity) but is not consistent
I have also used RWS and Eley club,
best results are with some old PMC target,
that Olin stuff, is it the generic looking white box the .mil used to have?
I had a few bricks of that when I was younger my father got from a ROTC unit that he did the weapons repairs for, it shot OK in my Rem 513T,

The military ‘white box” Olin 22 was Winchester T22. It’s fine if it shoots well enough.

CCI SV My Model 103 Supermatic Citation likes it better than any other standard velocity ammo I have tried.

Re: Ammo for HS Supermatic Citation
I was finally able to start my ammo tests. Instead of using a scientific approach (bench-resting, chronograph, etc.), I decided to go for the gusto and dive right into a match for my test. First up was CCI Standard Velocity and SK Standard Plus. The first match was with CCI and I was impressed with the grouping (Slow, Timed, and Rapid scores were 76, 91, and 93-1X, which is good for me). The SK grouping opened up for me on the second string (71 Slow and 76 Timed with one alibi). Unfortunately, my Rapid Fire string was a disaster with multiple mis-feeds with the SK. My HS and magazines have performed virtually flawlessly in the past, so I was very disappointed when the one alibi and string of mis-feeds occurred. I know the HS is a finicky eater and last night certainly proved it for me.
Although I have only run 30 rounds of CCI SV, it is very impressive and worthy of continued testing. Has anyone had a similar experience with SK mis-feeding?
My next round of testing will be with Eley Club. I'll let you know how that turns out!

Re: Ammo for HS Supermatic Citation
I've been shooting a 106 Citation for about 30 years. It digests Olin white box OK (when it actually fires - I get 1-2 duds in a box), Rem SV is OK, Federal 711B is very good, CCI SV is very good, Norma match (essentially sorted Tac22) is very good, and old Eley Club was very good. Eley Target has good reviews but I haven't shot any yet.
I am currently shooting a Hamden Victor with either Norma Match or 711B. My Citation is my 22EIC and shoots either of those. Cleans on TF/RF are up to me, not the gun or ammo.
