Do Any of You Load WST in the 9mm
I'm going to be loading 1,000 rds of 9 w/ a 124 jacketed for my carry gun (Kahr, all SS) and have a large supply of WST on hand which I would like to use. The ammo is for practice only.
Thanks,
Ron Habegger

I USE WSF ALSO. BUT I GLEANED THE WST INFO BELOW FROM ANOTHER WEBSITE. I COPIED IT DIRECTLY AS A CLICK AND PASTE, IT IS NOT ME SPEAKING. USE THE INFORMATION AT YOUR OWN RISK. JP
124GR FMJFP(1.05”) OR FMJRN (1.15”) OR LRN (1.09”)
950 1000 1025 1050 1075 1100 1125 1150 fps
4.4 4.6g 4.8g 5.0g 5.2g 5.4g --- ---
Other tidbits I've been able to collect include the following, take them for what they're worth as I'm not responsible for the origin of the information...
A moderator at CZ Forum uses 4.8 to 5.2 WST under Berry's 124gr. HP and is very happy with that load.
I would stay between 4.5 and 4.8gr WST and stay below 1,100 fps with 124gr. Bullets
I'm using 4.3 WST with a 115 Lead RN and have been happy.
4.8gr-5.1gr under a 124grJHP/FMJ, go as long an OAL that will fit your gun
5.0grs of WST behind Berry's 124gr FP with an OAL 1.150" is all I shoot through my Glock 19
9mm - 115grn. bullet w/5.0grns. WST
9mm = 124gr OR 115gr 5.0 WST. Accurate, soft shooting, CLEAN load.
Start Xtreme 124gr RN plated OAL 1.140 WST 4.5gr
Workup to Xtreme 124gr RN plated OAL 1.140 WST 4.8gr
My working load for a 124grLTC is 4.8gr, "sweet load" happened when I started loading them at 4.8 - 5.0
124 Dardas - The 4.5 and 4.6 were very accurate with the 4.6 being spot-on up to 50 feet
I've settled on 4.8gr of WST for 124gr bullets as well. 4.5gr shot, but my glock would eject the cases towards to face. 4.8gr works the best all around.
I did the 1.13 @ 4.5g Fred suggested and it did just fine. 124
125 gr - 4.2 or 4.3 grains WST 1.130 OAL 1068 fps out of my my 5 inch STI Trojan
124GR FMJFP(1.05”) OR FMJRN (1.15”) OR LRN (1.09”)

Jimp,
Thanks for the 9m WST info. I am looking at the OAL as especially important considering the small size of the case. I appreciate he number of comments you list.
Thanks,
Ron

3.8-4.1 of WST Zero 147gr JHP 1.15"OAL. Springfield XDM 1-10 twist, very accurate and soft shooting.

Dave, are you sure about this? I use 4.0 WSF, not WST for 9mm 147jhpdronning wrote:3.8-4.1 of WST Zero 147gr JHP 1.15"OAL. Springfield XDM 1-10 twist, very accurate and soft shooting.

Re: Do Any of You Load WST in the 9mm
Yep I was using WSF and got the WST load over on the Brian Enos forum. I thought I'd give it a try since I use it in the 38 Super. I preferred VVN330 but you couldn't get it for ever. WST is a faster burn than VVN330 and WSF is slightly slower, how much depends which chart you look at.rreid wrote:Dave, are you sure about this? I use WSF in 9mm. I have never seen any pressure tested factory date for the 9mm with WST.
