Load for 185 FPJ
What is a good 50 yrd load including COL and crimp for Sierra 185 gr FPJ using BE powder? I will be shooting in a slide mounted optics gun. Thanks

Try 4.5 or 4.6 grains. It works very well with the Nosler JHP and is super accurate at 50 yards.

for a fmj 185, 4.4-4.6 bullseye, or wst or tightgroup or clays with a .467-.469 crimp

Thanks. I was thinking 4.5 gr of BE was the way to go. Would you stick with a OAL of 1.24" to 1.25"?

1.200 is what 185 noslers load at but it depends on the bullet

Overall length isn't important to accuracy. Just make sure that the round feeds through your magazines. I use a taper crimp of .470" with W-W or Starline brass.
