5.25 xdm accuracy
Has anybody sandbagged a springfield XDM 5.25 at 50 yards? Also has anybody done this with a kkm barrel and seen a difference?

the factory barrel 9mm came in either a 1-16 or 1-10. Not sure what the KKM is

Thank you those are great threads, I guess there is a reason for the search key!

It's tricky at times, I knew 'FRONECK' posted about it and had to search his profile posts.

Re: 5.25 xdm accuracy
I have a stock welded up barrel in mine. As far as sandbag testing, it was pretty much a waste of ammo and time for me. Any time I let the magazine base pad or the dust cover on the frame touch the sandbag or the bench, it threw a flyer. Shooting off hand was a different story. With Atlanta Arms 115 fmj I was able to shoot a 95-4x in practice. Resting between shots, I use a block on the bench and only let the trigger guard touch the block. The gun was accurate enough for me to place 68th in the President's match this year.

Bone stock mine like the zero 147 gr jhp bullet. I just have to do something with that fiber optic front sight

Bone stock also. This was the first 8 rounds out of the pistol. I am posting this because it addresses both the inherit accuracy and that stupid fiber optic front sight. I only fired 8 rounds and then the front sight fell apart and the fiber optic was lost. Still lost. In the post above you will see a site to get a new front blade. I did that before shooting it again. I like the pistol but it would not be my first choice for an EIC pistol. I carry it sometimes when in the wilderness but most of the time it sits in the safe. Mine is a 40cal. The best of both schools of thought. IMHO

<2" at 50 yards with 10 shots is possible with a welded up factory barrel (often good enough, but not always) or KKM.
