Aimpoint H2 Lens Covers Empty Aimpoint H2 Lens Covers

Do the factory Aimpoint Micro H2 lens covers just “pop” off or is there a special technique that is needed. Once removed can they be easily reinstalled if needed?

Thanks, as I just received my Nelson Conversion with the Weaver Rail and certainly see no need for the lens covers on this application.
