Looking for sear jig recommendations
want to try my hand at a little sear stoning for my conversion lower. Have a few new EGW hard sears and am getting a tiny bit of creep in them.
I like a crisp, glass rod feel so was wondering what would be the best jig to get. I’ve read a lot about the TR jig and wondered if that would give the crisp feel I desire. Seems like a well made jig. Not sure if the name, True Radius gives it a roll trigger feel?
Would also be willing to buy from a user here if someone has a jig they no longer use. Not sure if I should of posted this in commercial row. I’ve played with springs, mainsprings etc and am finding getting that glass smooth angle on the sear is the last step..or should be first step.
Anyway,, looking for suggestions as well as wanting to sell.
Look forward to the feedback

Re: Looking for sear jig recommendations
I have a power custom series one and a True Radius sear jig. I get the feeling that the power custom is more for someone who’s very experienced and really knows what they’re doing. The True Radius Sear jig is a little more user friendly than the power custom jig to newbies I think. The idea is very simple and straight forward. A roll trigger feel or a crisp feeling trigger can be achieved using either jig in my opinion. Again, it boils down to the knowledge of the person who’s doing the work.

Like Jason i have both jigs. My power custom one is probably 30 some odd years old and works perfectly for a crisp trigger pull if you use the basic instructions. The TR is design more toward the roll trigger. A short roll is close to a crisp trigger but has a softer release while the long roll is to me best described as a Very smooth and controlled creep(just me).

If your looking to purchase, I'd recommend the power custom, then go to brownells and find the article on how to use it. The TR works, and I use it for the primary surface, but it is not as straight forward as it appears to be. I've found the key to a good trigger is getting the contact surfaces equal and even on both hammer hooks. If you dont, the feel will be "heavy" and will change quicker over time. The power custom also allows a controlled way to cut the secondary angle which the TR does not.
