Sear recommendation
What sears do you folks prefer in your 1911 wadcutter guns? Also, the less prepping I have to do the better. Thanks

My personal favorite is Cylinder & Slide. I also like their sear springs, I found it somewhat easier to adjust than other brands.

You might consider John Harrison's True Radius sears. I use a true radius jig to prep all my EGW sears but if you're not going to do multiple sears, it makes sense to simply get one of John's already prepped sears.

Re: Sear recommendation
Just for point of clarification. The TR Sear is from Chuck Warner, not John Harrison. John retails them as do I. But the TR Sear was designed by Chuck Warner. Quite right k.c. I well remember the development process described by Chuck on the now defunct 1911Pro forum. I bought my TR jig directly from him when he first started selling them. I also bought one of his Elite Warrior aluminum frames that I built into a nice Commander.

Extreme Engineering, they are excellent and very hard no problems yet. I buy the Ultralight one. You have to cut a roll but it may not be necessary to do any prep if you are lucky.
