Thanks for the information Len.  Would be nice to know if it maintains zero.  i.e. If the scope is sighted in and is changed 15 clicks up, 15 clicks right, 15 clicks down, 15 clicks left, is it still sighted in?  If not, then through the course of a season as you change from 50 yards to 25 and then back to 50, etc you may find the zero drifts.

I put mine on my Nelson conversion yesterday and went to the range. I was shooting around 4 o'clock and I made adjustments evenly to center it in, about 14 clicks for both elevation and windage. Worked perfectly and am very pleased. As for fine threads, well, take your time and be careful. Small caps, yes, but so are other dots. They're no smaller than what we are used to. In any case, for the price, I think this is a good way to go. I got mine from Amazon Prime and it arrived in 2 days. It also comes with mounts of varying heights which is very generous IMHO.

I shot mine at the last two indoor matches. Very impressed. I like how solidly it mounts to the rail. I thought I would be upset that it only fits on Picatinny rails but that is what makes it so strong. You can really crank on it. I broke the cross bolt on a Vortex and I was barely tweeking it  Rolling Eyes . Long story to mention Optics planet has them on sale for 166.-- and has an extra 12% off right now. It was a good place to spend my grip money.

Do you think it will last on a .45?

I don't have any long term history to say how they will hold up on a .45. I only have about 300 rounds thru mine. My hip has taken me out of shooting for awhile now. More shooting coming up soon.

Do you recommend any other dots for a .45 other than Aimpoint? I seem to have the worst luck with micro red dots. My Aimpoint H-1 and (2) Primary Arms dots are kaput.

Thanks!

I dont, sorry. All I can say is none if the h1 clones I've tried have held up on the 45... I'm back to a 1 inch ultradot gen 2. Have an H1, and am not impressed...
