Adjustable Bomar style sights for a GLOCK 9MM
Anyone tried putting Bomar style rear sight on a Glock? Dawson Precision makes one and Kensight makes one. Any recommendations?

Hello Sheriff1962,
I have a bet with a friend that I wouldn't write this....
Bomar on a Glock = lipstick on a pig
Just sayin'.

I have Bomar, Kensight, & Dawson sights on various non-pc firearmsm.
The Bomar hangs off the back of the slide about a 1/4 inch, the Kensight is flush with the back of the slide.
Both are of equal quality. The Dawson sight is more contoured and has less range of adjustment.
So it all depends on the intended use, but they're all good sights and what you can buy.

Thank You . Intended use would be having a Glock 17 with fully click adjustable target rear sight for recreational target shooting.STEVE SAMELAK wrote:I have Bomar, Kensight, & Dawson sights on various non-pc firearmsm.

Pachmayr used to sell LPA sights for Glock 17/19. Nowadays you can only find them on eBay. Here is one I found today - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pachmayr-Adjustable-Rear-Sight-for-a-Glock-Model-17-or-19-New-In-Sealed-Package/273289738036?epid=6011663113&hash=item3fa1567734:g:hzQAAOSwjzJbIFuc:rk:190
I have this sight on one of my Glocks, and it is quite a good, IMO.

All of our issued ball and wad guns for the Missouri National Guard had Kensight rear sights. The time period for this was from the mid 80's until 2000. They were of good quality and extremely repeatable when switching from long line to short line. My ball gun currently has a Kensight rear and has performed well from about 1988 to present. Don't think you would go wrong with the Kensight.

The Glock 34 I shoot for EIC matches has a Bomar rear sight that overhangs the rear of the slide a bit. It works great, but I don't think they are still in production.
This year I shot the same pistol for the CMP matches and the GSSF match at Camp Perry.
