Ultrasonic and nelson conversion?

Any reason(s) I can't use my Hornady ultrasonic cleaner to clean my nelson conversion?

Should be easy enough as long as you fully strip it. I wouldn't run the slide while its assembled as you'll trap fluid in the firing pin housing.

I ran some blued moon clips in mine. Now they are white moon clips. May work great. Might not.

Make sure the cleaning fluid is not going to react with any of the metal parts.

Also, ultrasonic waves create cracks in hard anodized Aluminum if you leave it in too long.

A great way to clean; but, the ultrasonic waves can be destructive.
