Colt 45 Revolver
Hi Folks,
What models of Colt revolver have been successful in Bullseye 45 caliber competition? I'm thinking of the 1950s - 1969s.
Thanks, Tom

Re: Colt 45 Revolver
My dad shot a Colt model 1917 that had been re-chambered from .455 Webley to .45 Colt in the few 2700's he competed in.
He had a re-barreled Ruger .22 semi-auto, a K-38, and the 1917.
I recall going with him to D.C.P.A. (Dutchess County Pistol Association) when I was around 10 or 11 years old, probably 1961, more or less................
I don't believe he was too successful with it, but he used it..................

Re: Colt 45 Revolver
I have a Colt New Service in 45 Colt that someone had to have used. It has a front sight that looks like someone welded additional metal to the old half moon front sight and recut. The rear sight looks like a copy of a S&W Beikert sight and is really “out of place on a revolver this size. Give me a few and I’ll try to post a picture.

Smith and Wesson 25-2. There's one for sale on Gunbroker right now for a very reasonable price...

Is anyone currently shooting a revolver at master or high master scores in state, regional or national level in Bullseye?
