Adjusting Leupold scope

I have a Leupold M8-2X EER scope mounted on my S&W Model 41 .22 pistol that I bought used. From my preliminary shooting (all same ammo) it is shooting about 3 inches high and about 1 1/2 inches to the right.

Does anyone know how to make adjustments with the scope knobs? It has one on the side and one up top, but checking it out this weekend I don't get a "click" when adjusting. I emailed Leupold about it but so far have not heard anything back. Can anyone help?

I have one on my Ruger Super Redhawk .44 magnum for hunting.

It does not have clicks, it is friction adjusted like a lot of the older Leupolds like the Vera X 1's

So, would it adjust as follows?

-Turn Side knob clockwise, shifts POA to the right?

-Turn Top know clockwise, shifts POA up?

Unless for some reason yours is opposite of mine, no.

It should be marked which direction to turn.

Mine is labled UP/ccw DOWN/cw RIGHT/ccw LEFT/cw

Turn it in the direction it is labled to shift point of IMPACT

Maybe I am confused because you are stating point of AIM
