Pardini SP22 BE dry fire plug?
I have the 6" version of the Pardini SP22 BE coming soon, what is the best way to dry fire this gun? I have been shooting a Ruger MKII and dry firing it for years without a plug because the firing has an cross-pin to keep the firing pin from striking the breech face. If the Pardini has a suspended firing pin also why is a plug needed. I have been shooting my Marvel conversion with a dry wall screw in the chamber and cocking the hammer. If i cannot do this with the Pardini, what plug is needed that is not too cumbersome?
Thanks,
Jim

Pardini sells one for $20ish. It's a plastic piece that goes in the chamber about a 1/4" and holds the bolt open about a half an inch. The Pardini will fire out of battery with the plug. The plug holds the bolt back and when the hammer falls it hits the bottom of the bolt with very little inertia instead of full force on the back of the firing pin. I lost mine in about a month. Then I found an endless supply of dry fire plugs. A piece of 45 brass. I put a used bright orange ear plug in it to make it easy to identify. Somehow I have managed not to loose this high tech device.

When using that plug or other device that holds the slide back it makes it very easy to reset the hammer when dry firing.
