1911 .22 conversions
Last year I decided to buy a .22 conversion for my RI 1911 that is chambered in 9mm and found a good deal on an Advantage Arms conversion. Once I received the conversion I found out that it would not fit my 1911 unless I changed out the extractor to a .45 extractor or removed it all together. It wasn't a big deal but the whole point of buying the conversion was so I could easily switch back and forth at the range so I sold it. I am now looking at the Nelson conversions and wondering if they will fit the 9mm 1911 frame without modifications? I sent a couple emails to Nelson and never got a reply.

Probably not.
You needed to slightly modify the ejector on the R1

I would recommend calling Nelson's rather than emailing. If they don't answer and you leave a message, they'll call you back.
