wide trigger or std on a 1911
Is wide ( Gold Cup style) trigger better suited for BE shooting then a std combat trigger?

A Gold Cup trigger requires a Gold Cup frame. Most people just put a wider trigger shoe on their standard trigger.
I find that a wider trigger is easier to control, but the Gold Cup trigger is not wide enough.

It is funny how one picture can show so many different things. I posted this same picture last night to show the grips I settled on. I would now ask you to look at the triggers. Every one of the 1911's here has a wide trigger. Either by adding one of Franks trigger shoes or in the case of the Gold Cup it is wider by design. I think it aids me in pulling the trigger straight back. The wider shoe also makes the trigger "feel" lighter. Just an opinion of course.
