Commercial Row
Camp Perry Commercial Row will look different. Most likely a decrease in dealers on Commercial row.

Re: Commercial Row
Next year when NRA is not at Perry, even if CMP adds a 2700 at Perry, I'd guess attendance will be down. Even as little as a 20% drop in attendance might be enough to make it not profitable for several vendors. All speculation at this point.Bheath wrote:Why is this?

Re: Commercial Row
I doubt it will look that different. The CMP rifle matches draw far more shooters than the NRA rifle matches. Add a vintage pistol 900 and a 2700, maybe an iron sight championship and some matches for Glock shooters and it will pack up.
If the CMP offers up prizes or a chance to win anything of value for anything but the top three shotoers and juniors, people will opt in. If the add flush toilets and a place to eat,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the NRA is done.

Re: Commercial Row
I know it will look different. A lot different! I guess most haven’t heard of the price increase for renting retail space and the new storage fees that will no be imposed on vendors.
Vendors are barely breaking even now. I have been told by one long standing large vendor that they are done. It’s sad....

Re: Commercial Row
My information from Atterbury was that the base wanted 20% of sales to even be there. I don't see a lot of vendors going for that. Further they threatened to eject people who were trading a la the swap meet at Perry.
Usually Champions Choice, Champion Shooters Supply, Springfield Armory, High Standard (pistol only), Fin-Fur-Feather, White Oak Precision (rifle only), Remington/Bushmaster, Ear Pro vendors, target vendors, other reloading vendors (Fin-Fur-Feather has a lot of reloading supplies), Pilkington(Pistol only), Compass Lake (Rifle only), turning target vendor (pistol only).

Re: Commercial Row
WOW 20%!!! Is that on top of rent?? Even if rent is free many of the bigger ticket items don't even have a 20% margin. Vendors will have to raise prices, you can kiss goodbye to getting any deals at the National Matches.jmdavis wrote:My information from Atterbury was that the base wanted 20% of sales to even be there.

Re: Commercial Row
There won't be deals because there won't be vendors. This is what I was told by a vendor who wanted to book space last year.

Sounds like NRA is getting a bit greedy, and they want money come Hell or high water.

Re: Commercial Row
My understanding was that the 20% was the base. No idea if there was Sharing with the NRA.

Re: Commercial Row
That makes sense, the Base owns the buildings/space. What kind of deal Atterbury has with the NRA will always be a mystery.jmdavis wrote:My understanding was that the 20% was the base. No idea if there was Sharing with the NRA.

Will there be any powder and primer vendors at Perry this summer?

Re: Commercial Row
I think Fin Feather Fur was the big seller of powder & primers, I'd give them a call. Also there is usually a vendor list published, it was suppose to be in May but I don't see it yet.valbern67 wrote:Will there be any powder and primer vendors at Perry this summer?
