I'm not sure if it's the same thing but I had slight hang up just before firing which turned out to be the sear bar. The notch where it engaged the sear itself was a little worn which caused it. It was hard to see visually but I confirmed it by using a sear bar I had from different High Standard and the issue went away. Hope this helps.

I need a bumper sticker that says that, would totally go on my pistol box. And I say that as a roll lover.

Make sure the trigger bar does not hit the front of the safety piece as it moves forward. That is on the safety front end that pushes the trigger bar down. This is rare but I have seen it happen a few times.
If the frame hole for the sear pin is worn egg shaped, the pull will twist on the sear as it rotates on the pin.
If the trigger bar notch engaging the sear slips down as you pull, it needs reshaped or replaced.
Then there is the sear-hammer surfaces, call a qualified technician.

Creep feels more like a slip that a roll.
