supermatic service springs?
What springs/spring kit do I need to service/maintain a high standard citation?
I'd think I'd need a driving spring and a hammer spring. Wolff 39191? Interarms kit?

I have always used the 6# Wolff recoil spring. Get a few spare trigger bar springs and slide stop springs. And use ONLY SV ammo if this is an original HS

I seem the critical spring is primarily the driving (recoil) spring. Since you'll tear down the slide to replace it, I also replaced the firing pin and extractor springs at the same time using the Interarms parts. Much improved function now, and the old recoil spring was slightly compressed and worn. The recoil spring rubs and wears thinner from contact between the outside of the coils and the slot in the slide in which it is installed. I could plainly see this wear when I removed the old spring.

All this talk about spring wear sounded silly until I opened up the works. Holy Hamden machining marks batman!
Not to quibble but I always though the main/hammer spring eats most of the recoil force.
Anyhow I ordered the interarms spring kit as well as a sear and a hammer spring, so that should put things back on the right track for a good while.
EDIT; Where can I find a good roll pin punch?
